Accessory: Tissue Grips- Thermal-Electrically Cooled

The thermal electric cooled grips* are the result of extensive research in the tissue engineering area. They use thermal electric (Peltier) cooling devices to cool and freeze the specimen tissue within the jaw area. The frozen tissue takes on the shape of the jaws, thereby preventing slippage during the test. The gripping capacity of these grips has been demonstrated to be far superior to other conventional gripping methods. Unlike other cryogenically cooled grips, these grips are self contained and do not need to be replenished with CO2, N2 or dry ice.

  • 30 mm (1.20 inch) max. specimen width
  • 19 mm (0.75 inch) max. specimen thickness
  • 2,250 N (500 lbf) force capacity
  • Titanium construction
  • Clamp design with serpentine jaw faces
  • Open face for easy specimen installation and removal
  • Corrosion resistant titanium design
  • Lightweight - 147 gram (0.32lb)moving mass
  • Single 10-32 UNF or four 6-32 UNC screw mounting

An optional Water Circulating Option (GRP-TE-WC) is available.

Please contact Bose ESG for more information on the thermal-electrically cooled grips and how they can be used with your existing test systems.
